Man walking in Tadley slashed by blade and hit on head





According to Hampshire Constabulary, the incident happened on Tuesday, February 18, when a 37-year-old man was hit on the head several times and slashed with a blade.
Between 7.30pm and 8pm the man was walking on the green between Herriard Way and Farringdon Way.
A man approached him and asked him to hand over his phone prior to the assault.
He managed to fight off his attacker and ran off. Nothing was taken.
He was treated for superficial injuries to his head, hand and stomach at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.
The man was described as: white, round 5ft 10ins and of average build, with a voice similar to someone in their late teens.
He wore dark, possibly black trainers with a white stripe (not Adidas) from top to sole on the inside of the shoe.
He was also wearing baggy dark coloured trousers and a shell material dark thin top, with thumb holes at the bottom of the sleeves.
