The 33-year-old, of Beancroft Road, Thatcham, had pleaded not guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Market Place, Newbury, on October 13 last year.

But he was convicted following a trial.

Pegg, who has previous convictions and who was legally represented by Mason Waker, was made subject to a 12-month conditional discharge.

No order was made for costs but he was required to pay a statutory victim services surcharge of £26.
