Hungerford man Jack Savage was in charge of car after drinking more than FOUR times limit
A man was caught in charge of a car after drinking more than four times the legal limit.
Jack Savage appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 13.
The 31-year-old, of Wessex Close, Hungerford, admitted being in charge of a Ford Focus on Park Street, Hungerford, on April 26 when the amount of alcohol in his system exceeded the prescribed limit.
Tests showed 151mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.
The legal limit is 35mcg.
Savage, who was legally represented by Robert Jacques, was made subject to a 12 month community order with a requirement that he complete 100 hours of unpaid community work.
In addition he was ordered to pay £85 costs plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.
Finally, savage was banned from driving for 12 months.
