The 37-year-old, of Paddock End, Woolton Hill, denied assaulting Daniel Whittaker by beating him in Newbury on May 15 last year.

But he was convicted following a trial.

Mr Paice, who was legally represented at the hearing by Fiona Taylor, was told the matter would be sentenced by a judge sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.

Mr Paice was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
