Guilty: Hungerford man Joseph Gunning convicted of obstructing police

A MAN who denied obstructing police has been saddled with a £920 bill.
Joseph Gunning appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 11.
At a previous hearing the 33-year-old, of Morley Place, Hungerford, pleaded not guilty to obstructing PC Downes in the execution of his duty at Morley Place on November 16 last year.
But magistrates did not believe his account and he was convicted following a trial at the hearing.
Gunning was fined £200.
In addition he was ordered to pay £650 costs.
Finally, Gunning was ordered to pay a statutory victim services surcharge of £80.
