Man wrestled to the ground by local shop workers

The police were called at 14.53pm.
The man, who is thought to have been shoplifting from the Superdrug store, was held down by shop-workers and security guards from neighbouring stores until the police arrived at the scene.
“They were holding him down but he was strong,” said one witness, who asked not to be named. “He was trying to headbutt them so they pushed his head to the floor.”
Craig Evry, spokesman for Thames Valley Police, confirmed they are looking for a woman who is also believed to have been involved.
She is described as Eastern European with black hair in a ponytail, of medium build, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins and 30 to 35 years old.
