Man's body found in Thatcham

A member of the public found a body near the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre

A MAN'S body was found by a member of the public near the Thatcham Nature Discovery Centre early this morning (Monday).

Thames Valley Police has confirmed that a body was found off Muddy Lane at about 5.20am, although spokesman Adam Fisher said the man's death was not being treated as suspicious.

It is understood the man, who is believed to be in his 40s and from the Thatcham area, was found hanging.

A cordon was put in place shortly afterwards, although Mr Fisher said this was lifted at about 10am.
