Many festive events today in West Berkshire

GET into the Christmas spirit this weekend by attending one of the many festive events going on throughout the district.
Father Christmas himself will be in town from 10.30am as he parades through Northbrook Street, around the Market Place and back up Bartholomew Street, where he will disembark at 11am.
He will then be joined by Cinderella, Prince Charming, Fairy Godmother and the Ugly Sisters.
Elsewhere, Parsons Down School will be getting into the festive spirit by hosting a Christmas fayre from 2pm to 4pm, which will feature a range of stalls and refreshments.
The Pangbourne Quality Market, held at Pangbourne Village Hall from 10am to 4pm, will feature around 30 stalls selling fine foods, clothing, hand-crafted jewellery, ceramics, fine art and other goodies.
Entry is free, but those attending have the option to donate to Cancer Research UK, the market’s chosen charity.
There will be a Christmas fair and fundraiser at St Michael’s School in Aldbourne, with three 25 minute performances by Heartburn, featuring fire-eaters.
There is also football action as Newbury host Wantage at Faraday Road.
