Several West Berkshire residents are set to learn if they have secured a place in the 2012 Virgin London Marathon

LONDON Marathon hopefuls in West Berkshire are set to discover their fate this week, with several local and national charities set to benefit.

In recent years, runners from West Berkshire have raised thousands of pounds for a number of different causes and 2012 is likely to be no different.

This week, thousands of hopeful runners from across the country will discover whether they are successful in obtaining a place through the ballot for the 2012 Virgin London Marathon, and Newburytoday.co.uk is keen to hear from those within the district who secure a place.
