Medical emergency in Marks and Spencer in Northbrook Street, Newbury

There has been a medical emergency inside a store in Newbury today (Wednesday).

A section of Northbrook Street has been cordoned off.

And a number of emergency service vehicles – Thames Valley Police (TVP) and South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) – are at the scene.

A SCAS spokesperson said: “This is a medical emergency inside the store.

“Police are attending as is normal practice when such an incident occurs in a public place for scene management.”
