Meet Bjorn the polar bear in Newbury

All ages are invited to the Market place today (Fri) to meet Bjorn and his herder Ursula

PEOPLE are invited along to the Market Place in Newbury today (Friday) to meet Bjorn the polar bear.

The playful and interactive life-size polar bear Bjorn and his herder Ursula will be visiting Newbury as part of their epic polar adventures.

Bjorn and Ursula have created a show which will encourage all ages to not just watch the performance, but to stroke and pat him too.

Bjorn the Polar Bear, allows people of all ages to get up close to one of the world's most intriguing animals.

Bjorn is not a real live animal, of course, but he has blinking eyes, a sniffing nose, an opening mouth and also makes live sounds which continues the illusion.

This Christmas event is funded by Greenham Common Trust and managed by the Corn Exchange.
