Meeting to discuss Newbury's homeless situation

The meeting comes after West Berkshire Council recently revealed that the number of homelessness applications had quadrupled in the past year.
The organiser of the meeting, Tony Vickers (Lib Dem, Northcroft), said: "Liberal Democrats would like to see funds that the Conservatives have set aside - half a million pounds to help people buy homes they already live in - switched to help make more homes fit and available for homeless people."
The meeting will be held in the front room of the Hogs Head pub in Market Place, at 7.45pm. With space limited, anyone wishing to attend should phone Mr Vickers on (01635) 230046.
