Two men arrested after running down Northbrook Street with six bottles of stolen alcohol

Two men have been arrested for shoplifting in Newbury.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) said the men had stolen three bottles of whisky and three bottles of vodka this morning (Friday).
They then ran down Northbrook Street with the stolen items.
But they ran toward three police officers in plain clothes who then arrested them.
TVP West Berkshire said: “Their joy at getting away with the theft was short-lived as they ran straight into the arms of three plain clothed officers who arrested them.
“We take a zero tolerance approach to shoplifting.”
