Men arrested following 12 thefts from vehicles

Between March 31 and April 21, 12 cars had their fuel tanks drilled into and the petrol or diesel stolen from inside.
Two of the thefts happened in Omers Rise, two in Horseshoe Crescent, three in Stones Walk, one in Dauntless Road, one in Sandbrooke Walk and one in Hunters Hill.
Fuel was also stolen from several skip lorries parked in a lorry park in Deans Copse Road overnight on April 18, and a hydraulic ramp and pump was stolen from a vehicle in Mill Lane overnight on April 10 and 11.
Officers investigating the theft have arrested two men, a 26-year-old man from Reading and a 30-year-old man from Burghfield Common, on suspicion of 12 counts of theft from vehicles.
Both have been released on police bail until June 3.
