Men arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent, possession of a firearm and offensive weapon




Two men have been arrested in connection with an assault in Newbury following a Thames Valley Police investigation.

A 24-year-old man from Newbury was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon in a private place and possession of a firearm.

A 23-year-old man, also from Newbury, was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Both men have been bailed until January 26, 2023.

The arrests are in connection with an incident in the alleyway between Glendale Avenue and Wash Common Park.

This incident occurred on Sunday, October 23, when a man was allegedly grabbed and assaulted.
