West Berkshire drivers urged to take extra care following Met Office warnings of thunderstorms on Saturday




The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms over West Berkshire on Saturday.

The warning runs from 12pm on Saturday until 10pm and the weather is set to cause some transport disruption and perhaps flooding.

There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus and delays to train services are possible.

Drivers are advised to be careful when travelling across West Berkshire.

The Met Office has also said that some short term loss of power and other services is possible, with possible damage due to lightning strikes.
