Met Office weather warning: thunderstorm to hit West Berkshire tomorrow




After what has been a relatively sunny and dry bank holiday, a thunderstorm may be on its way to West Berkshire.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the south of England with heavy rain expected between midnight and 10am on Saturday (June 4).

There is also a chance that areas of West Berkshire and North Hampshire will see lightning on Saturday morning with a small chance of flooding to homes and businesses.

The Met Office has warned of potential damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.

Some train and bus services may be delayed or cancelled.

The warning also states: "Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.

"There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost."
