Michael and Carole Middleton pay first visit to new grandchild
The pair, who live in Bucklebury, were reported to be the first members of the family to visit the royal couple and their son.
They arrived at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, in a black cab at around 3pm today, and left just over an hour later.
Meanwhile back in Bucklebury, the village has sent many messages of congratulations to the new grandparents, among them West Berkshire Councillor for Bucklebury, Graham Pask, who said: "The village would like to pass on congratulations to the royal couple and the grandparents.
"I know they must be proud, being a grandparent myself."
Tonight, celebrations will continue in the village, including at The Cottage Inn, which will have live music, a barbecue and fireworks, kicking off at 6:30pm.
Chapel Row pub The Bladebone Inn is also inviting guests to join them in wetting the baby's head.
National media reports suggest that the Duke and Duchess will leave the hospital with their son sometime after 6pm today.
