A34 crash causes long tailbacks on southbound carriageway near Abingdon as one lane is shut

UPDATE: This incident has now been cleared and the lane has reopened.
One lane of the A34 is currently closed after an accident this morning (Monday).
The lane is shut on the southbound carriageway between the junctions with the A415 at Abingdon and the A4130 at Milton.
The outside lane is affected by the incident.
National Highways said it currently expects to have the road cleared by 11am.
It added that there are four miles of congestion and one hour delays.
“Allow extra time if heading that way and consider alternate routes, if possible,” it added.
