Mini Band drummer gets endorsement from Californian company
Charlie Emmons of Poppy Drive, received the artist endorsement with custom drum kit manufacturers Spaun Drum Company.
It was his father, David Emmons, who contacted the company to show off his son's skills.
In this email he included clips of Charlie on international television and a clip of the band playing Enter Sandman by Metallica - the song which made the Mini Band an internet sensation last year.
And, within a couple of weeks, he was sent a reply offering his son a custom made drum kit.
Mr Emmons said that Charlie started playing it as soon as it arrived.
He said: "There's no way I could have afforded it without the endorsement.
"Brian [Spaun] was well into what Charlie was doing.
"I was very, very proud of Charlie.
"I was really pleased that his hard work and effort has been recognised, and by a company like Spaun.
"Charlie couldn't believe it."
He added: "Drumming is definitely what Charlie wants to be doing, but he is only 11.
"He has done more already then most drummers do in a life time."
