Mini Band to play London's 02 Arena today (Sat)

The band, made up of eight to 11-year-olds, four of whom are from Cold Ash, will perform at the grand final of this year's Live and Unsigned competition.
They made it through to the final after getting the highest judges score in the regional final at Sub 89 in Reading back in May.
The band's manager, Leo Westby, said that some of the children were in tears after finding out that they would be performing at one of the country’s biggest performance venues.
The Mini Band are eight-year-old, Harrison Read, nine-year-olds Zoe Thomson and Kieran Fell and 11-year-old Charlie Emmons, all from Cold Ash, along with and 11-year-olds Archie Zolotuhin and nine-year-old Harry Jackson.
The band have now beaten off competition from more than 10,000 other bands who entered the competition and are now in the final 60 of the competition.
See Thursday’s Newbury Weekly News to find out how they got on.
