Newbury Adventure Golf coming to Victoria Park this Easter
A new 18-hole mini golf course is coming to Newbury town centre and is expected to open in time for the Easter school holidays.
Located by the tennis courts in Victoria Park, Newbury Adventure Golf is currently being constructed in the hopes of being open on Monday, April 11.
This will be the fifth course owned and operated by business partners Jack Robinson and Christopher Aubrey, both 28, whose main focus for the family-orientated activity is affordable pricing and environmental sustainability.
Mr Robinson said: “What’s quite unique about what we do is that everything is temporary and in nature. There are no concrete permanent fixtures or fittings.
“It’s all made from sustainable and natural materials. We enhance each hole with nice woodwork and wooden features and then make it good value.”
Mr Robinson also stated that the price of admission for 18 holes would be £4.95 per person.
The course, which will continue the British wildlife theme shared by the pair’s other 18-hole establishments, will contain wooden features such as a loop-the-loop, a train, ramps, bridges, hog house and a hen house.
He also said: “We’ve noticed post-Covid that families have a got a new love for the great outdoors.
“We are trying to emphasise that it’s a great value activity that gets the kids off their [screens]. It’s just another activity for the family to enjoy outside.”
Social media and a website for Newbury Adventure Golf are expected to launch by the end of this week.
The other courses owned by Mr Robinson and Mr Aubrey include Dinton Adventure Golf, Lightwater Adventure Golf, Wardown Adventure Golf and High Lodge Adventure Golf.
