Mint Velvet signs up for Parkway
The boutique-style retailer will occupy a two-storey 1,528 sq ft unit at the new shopping centre in Newbury
WITH one month to go until the opening of Parkway, another retailer has signed up to move in to the shopping centre.
Boutique-style retailer Mint Velvet has agreed to take a two-storey 1,528 sq ft corner unit at the entrance from Northbrook Street, joining a host of retailers that have already signed up for the mixed-use retail and residential development.
Mint Velvet was only founded in 2009 and the Newbury store will become its fifth stand-alone boutique nationwide, following on from stores in Marlow, Tunbridge Wells, Chichester and Windsor.
Head of UK retail at Parkway developers Standard Life Investments, Ed Jenkins, said: “Mint Velvet is a great addition to the line-up at Parkway and the retail mix that we have aspired to for Newbury has really taken shape.
“Parkway will open next month with a shopping offer that enhances the town and will see Newbury become a major new shopping destination.”
Parkway is due to open on Thursday, October 27.
