Minute of silence to reflect on the Queen

There will be a one-minute silence this evening so that the nation can reflect on the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Commencing at 8pm today, the ‘national moment of reflection’ will allow people to ponder the life and legacy of the nation’s longest-serving monarch.

The minute silence can be marked privately, or at locally arranged community events.

This comes on the eve of the Queen’s funeral, which takes place tomorrow (Monday).
