Moped destroyed in Tilehurst suspected arson




Firefighters called during early hours

A moped was destroyed in a suspected arson in Tilehurst during the early hours of this morning (Sunday).

One pump was called from Dee Road fire station, Tilehurst, at 2.30am to Lovatt Close, where a moped was alight in an alleyway.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze using a hosereel.

Noone was hurt but the moped was destroyed in the blaze.

The cause was recorded as a suspected arson by the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Firefighters left the scene ar 3am.
