Further overnight closures planned for the A339 in Newbury, between Tesco roundabout and The Swan roundabout

Part of the A339 in Newbury will be closed overnight again from today (Monday).

Newtown Road, from the Pinchington Lane roundabout to The Swan roundabout, will be shut from 7pm until 5am each night from Monday, November 8 until Thursday, November 11.

This closure is to enable Volker Highways to carry out loop cutting of new traffic signals within the Sandleford A339 Scheme on behalf of West Berkshire Council.

Roadworks have been in place along that stretch of road for most of this year and a new road has been created towards Highwood Copse Primary School, which opened for the first time in September.

The works are due to be completed this month.
