London Road Aldi to nearly double parking plot
Aldi on Newbury’s London Road wants to nearly double the size of its parking plot.
There are currently 64 spaces, and they want to increase that to 104.
The store wants to knock down the building next to it to allow for expansion of the car park.
Aldi says the existing store was constructed in 2013 and has proven very successful for it.
“The site is very tight with both customer parking numbers and vehicle circulation space below Aldi’s current standards.
“As a result they are keen to invest in the site and expand their car park to improve circulation and to provide the much needed additional parking’” it said.
The store also wants to put in some EV charge points.
