More than 2,000 drivers caught by speed cameras across West Berkshire in June.
More than 2,000 drivers were caught by speed cameras across West Berkshire last month.
New figures released by Thames Valley Police show that they operated mobile speed checks on the borough’s roads for 36-and-a-half hours in June, catching 369 speeding motorists.
There were an additional 1,815 motorists caught from fixed speed cameras, which were operational for a combined total of 2,640 hours.
Thames Valley Police say the vans, which contain mobile cameras, and the familiar yellow boxes at the side of roads provide a visual deterrent towards speeding, as well as ongoing enforcement of speed limits.
A spokesperson said: “This is to help support the reduction of the speed of traffic, making roads safer, and reduce injury collisions and casualties within our area.”
