More than £600 raised at pole fitness event for children's memorial
Leanne Baker, aged 31 of Mayfield Drive, held the event earlier in the month and more than 90 people attended.
The workshop was held by Brimpton-based Spin City and in total it raised just over £600.
There was also an auction on the evening with prizes ranging from a hotel stay to a round of golf.
Ms Baker said: "It went really well."
She is trying to raise the funds for the memorial for any child of any religion who has died as a place for family to go to grieve, after she had two stillborn children, Emily in 2000 and Amy in 2005.
Both her daughters are buried in a cemetery in Cambridgeshire, where Miss Baker used to live, and she came up with the idea for the memorial for families who do not live near the graves of their loved ones.
She said that many people and businesses had been coming forward to donate prizes and money, adding: "It has been absolutely brilliant."
Thatcham Town Council has also agreed to give the project a donation and take on the maintenance once it is up and running.
