More traffic problems in Newbury
Motorists are experiencing long queues in and around the town again this morning (Tuesday)
MOTORISTS are again battling their way through large queues this morning (Tuesday) in and around Newbury.
For the second day running, the key roads around the town are clogged up with a large amount of vehicles during the morning rush hour.
Town councillors said last night (Monday) that drainage works at the junction of the B4009 Shaw Road and Kiln Road were causing “traffic chaos” with the works set to last two weeks with temporary traffic lights.
Meanwhile, motorists have suffered long delays on the A339, A4 and A34 too this morning, with other problems caused by temporary traffic lights on the Andover Road and a reported accident near the Vodafone roundabout.
The situation was not helped by the disruption to the train service at Hungerford – see related stories link above.
