Mortimer Common man on rape charge

Remanded in custody prior to July court appearance

A MORTIMER Common man has been charged with rape.

Christopher Ball, aged 24, of West End Road, Mortimer Common was charged on Saturday (18/6) with one count of rape.

The charge is in relation to an incident on Friday (17/6) when a woman was allegedly raped in a property in Mortimer.

Mr Ball was arrested on Friday (17/6).

He appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (18/6) and was remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Reading Crown Court on July 18.
