Mortimer house fire affects three properties

According to the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, firefighters were called at 1.42am to a house fire in The Crescent, Mortimer Common and affecting three properties.
Firefighters from Whitley Wood in Reading, Tadley, Caversham Road in Reading and Wokingham Road in Reading were called to the scene, using two hosereels, one jet working from a hydrant and an aeriel platform.

Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue have since confirmed no-one was hurt in the fire, which started in a garage at one of the properties,
The cause is still being investigated by the fire service.
The incident was closed at 12.30pm yesterday (Sun)
