Motivational dialogue on motherhood
Lis Allen, who has four daughters, said: “The way we were mothered has a profound effect on our lives, whether or not we go on to become mothers ourselves. The event is designed to create a greater understanding of that key relationship and is open to all women, not just mothers.”
She said she wished she had known more about the “power of the mind, the necessity of effective communication and the importance of mothers as role models before she had her family.”
The event is called The Vagina Dialogues and Ms Allen went on: “It’s a safe place to share and air views and learn from others’ experience – it’s fun, thought-provoking and inspirational...and we don’t talk about vaginas!”
The event takes place on Thursday, October 16, at Herongate leisure from 7.30pm to 10pm.
Tickets cost £20.
