A MAN, believed to be in his sixties, was airlifted to hospital following a serious accident on the A34 yesterday (Sat).
The man was flung from his motorcycle after a collision with a trailer and was taken to Swindon's Great Western Hospital by air ambulance with serious leg injuries.
The road was reported to have been shut for around an hour to enable the air ambulance to land and the road to be cleared.

Traffic was diverted through Newbury on the A339 and A4, causing gridlock in the town.
