More news, no ads

At about 9.28pm a maroon coloured Suzuki ZFXF motorcycle was being ridden eastbound between junction 16 and 15 of the M4 when, for reasons currently unknown, the rider lost control of the motorcycle as he left the carriageway to the nearside, entering a ditch where the vehicle subsequently collided with a tree.
Pc Scott Hill, of the serious collision investigation team based at Wiltshire Police headquarters, said that as a result the motorcyclist sustained multiple injuries and was confirmed as deceased at the scene, close to metre post 128/7.
The road was closed for five hours to allow for recovery of the vehicle and repairs to the road surface.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who may have seen the motorcycle involved, to contact Pc David Williams on the serious collision investigation team on 101 or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
Meanwhile, another road incident is understood to have occurred along a section of the A339 near to the Robin Hood roundabout, in the direction of the Vodafone headquarters, at around 12.45am this morning (Saturday). A number of police vehicles were spotted in the area.
