Hermitage man Alan Manston caught drink-driving
A MOTORIST has been banned from the roads for drink-driving without insurance.
Alan Manston appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 17.
The 35-year-old, of Eling, Hermitage, admitted driving an Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce on the A339 in Newbury on Monday, April 10, after drinking more than the legal limit.
Tests showed 129mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in his system.
The legal limit is 80mg.
He further admitted driving without insurance on the same occasion.
Mr Manston, who was legally represented at the hearing by Walker Law Ltd., was fined £120.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £48.
Finally, Mr Manston was banned from driving for 14 months.
