Hermitage motorist Jack Fisher caught drink-driving




A MOTORIST drank almost two-and-a-half times the legal limit before getting behind the wheel.

Jack Fisher was caught by police and on Tuesday, September 26, he appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court.

The 26-year-old, of Deacons Lane, Hermitage, admitted driving a Mini Cooper on Newbury Road, Hampstead Norreys, on Thursday, September 7, after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 84mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Mr Fisher, who was legally represented at the hearing by Shehneela Ahmed, was fined £692.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £277.

Finally, Mr Fisher was banned from driving for 21 months.
