Padworth motorist Alex Bamford caught drink-driving

A MOTORIST was caught behind the wheel after drinking more than twice the legal limit.
Alex Bamford appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 29.
The 21-year-old, of Padworth Close, Padworth, admitted driving a Renault Clio on Southcote Lane, Reading, on Saturday, July 12, after drinking more than the legal limit.
Tests showed 75mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.
The legal limit is 35mcg.
Bamford was fined £537.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £215.
Finally, Bamford was banned from driving for 18 months.
