Thatcham motorist Gurmeet Singh caught drink-driving

A MAN was caught behind the wheel after drinking almost twice the legal limit.
Gurmeet Singh appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 10.
The 39-year-old, of Thames Road, Thatcham, admitted driving a Honda Civic on Thames Road on Saturday, September 21, after drinking more than the legal limit.
Tests showed 64mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.
The legal limit is 35mcg.
Magistrates fined Singh £384.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £154.
Finally, Singh was banned from driving for 20 months.
