Newbury motorist Daryl Molloy caught drug-driving





A MOTORIST took drugs before getting behind the wheel.

Daryl Molloy appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, October 17.

The 31-year-old, of Middle Close, Newbury, admitted driving a Volkswagen Golf on the A4 Bath Road at Calcot on Thursday, April, when the amount of cannabis, a Class B-controlled drug, in his system exceeded the prescribed limit.

Mr Molloy also admitted driving without a valid licence on the same occasion.

Magistrates fined Mr Molloy, who was legally represented at the hearing by Luis Williamson, £350.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £140.

Finally, Mr Molloy was banned from driving for three years.
