Chaddleworth motorist Ross Jordan denies causing serious injury accident by driving carelessly
A MAN is to go on trial, accused of causing a serious injury accident by careless driving.
Ross Jordan appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 19.
The 22-year-old, of Glebe Field, Chaddleworth, is accused of causing serious injury to Gary Pounds by driving a white Volkswagen Caddy van without due care and attention on Hangman’s Stone lane, Chaddleworth, on Monday, March 24.
Mr Jordan, who was legally represented by Sally Thomson, spoke only to confirm his details and to plead not guilty to the single charge.
He was told the case could proceed no further that day and would be adjourned for a trial to be arranged.
Mr Jordan was meanwhile released on unconditional bail.
