Reading Magistrates' Court: Hungerford man denies drug-driving in Thatcham




A MAN has pleaded not guilty to a charge of drug-driving.

In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, September 27, was was Samuel Cook.

The 20-year-old, of Church Way, Hungerford, is charged with driving a red Ford Fiesta on the A4 in Thatcham on Thursday, January 6, when the amount of cannabis, a Class B-controlled drug, in his system, exceeded the specified limit.

Mr Cook spoke only to confirm his details and to deny the single charge.

District judge Kathryn Verghis told Mr Cook the case could proceed no further that day and she adjourned proceedings for a trial to be arranged.

He was meanwhile granted unconditional bail.
