Mortimer motorist David Winlow drank more than three times the limit




A MOTORIST was caught behind the wheel after drinking more than three times the legal limit.

David Winlow appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 27.

The 54-year-old, of Church Farm Barns, Mortimer, admitted driving a BMW in The Street, Mortimer, on Tuesday, September 12, after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 109mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Mr Winlow, who was legally represented at the hearing by Tom Brymer, was made subject to a 12-month community order and required to complete 100 hours of unpaid community work.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.

Finally, Mr Winlow was banned from driving for 25 months.
