Reading Magistrates' Court: Thatcham motorist drank twice legal limit

A MOTORIST has been banned from the roads for driving after drinking twice the legal limit.
In the dock at Reading Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 19, was Ian Simon Starling.
The 34-year-old, of Poffley Place, Thatcham, admitted driving a silver Kia on Tull Way, Thatcham, on Saturday, June 4, after drinking more than the legal limit.
Tests showed 70mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.
The legal limit is 35mcg.
Mr Starling was fined £500.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £50.
Finally, Mr Starling was banned from driving for 18 months.
