Greenham man Matthew Stevens innocent on drug-driving charge




A MOTORIST has been acquitted of drug-driving.

Matthew Stevens appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 25.

The 34-year-old, of Pigeons Farm Road, Greenham, was accused of driving a white Land Rover Discovery on the A4 at Newbury on December 7 last year when the amount of the Class B-controlled drug cannabis in his system exceeded the specified limit.

He denied the offence.

And, at Friday’s hearing, the prosecution offered no evidence.

Mr Stevens was formally found not guilty of the single charge.
