Snelsmore Common drink-driver Alfred Komives banned from the roads




A MOTORIST was caught drink-driving.

Alfred Komives appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, June 11.

The 52-year-old, of Meadow Way, Snelsmore Common, admitted driving a Skoda Rapid on Oxford Road in Newbury on May 24 last year after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 48mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system.

The legal limit is 35mcg.

Mr Komives, who was legally represented by Catherine Brymer, was fined £200.

In addition, he was ordered to pay £85 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £80.

Finally, Mr Komives was banned from driving for 12 months.
