Motorist trapped after car crashes into town hall

Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Lucy Billen said: "We were called at 2.53pm to an incident involving a red VW Polo which had mounted the steps of the town hall and collided with the building. The woman is being cut from the car by the fire service."
Nearby shopkeepers reported hearing a loud bang and one said: "There are four fire engines here. The car struck a pillar and there's petrol everywhere. It was a hell of a bang."
The woman was reported to have been freed and taken to hospital by 4pm.
