Motorists endured rush hour traffic jams




Two accidents this morning (Thursday) caused traffic to build up on the Theale Bypass and A339 near Newtown

TWO accidents this morning (Thursday) caused lengthy traffic queues on the roads.

At about 9am, one lane of the Theale Bypass was blocked following an accident during the rush hour involving two cars.

The lane was blocked eastbound between the A340 junction and junction 12 of the M4, but has since been cleared.

In another incident, traffic on the A339 Newtown Road between the A339 junction and Kings Road Roundabout, Newbury, was affected following an earlier incident this morning on the A34.

The incident, which occurred between Wash Common and Speen, has now been cleared.
