Motorist's lucky escape as car catches fire

According to firefighter Robin Whitman of the Greenwatch crew at Newbury fire station, one fire engine and five fire fighters were called at 6pm to the fire, in Station Road.
No-one was hurt and the fire was extinguished and incident closed about an hour later.
“It caught fire while they were driving,” said Mr Whitman.
The car engine compartment was destroyed in the fire.
The cause was not known.
