Public consultation on Pangbourne Meadows launched to clamp down on bad behaviour

Antisocial behaviour in Pangbourne Meadows is to get some attention.

There is going to be a consultation on a Public Space Protection Order.

It has been launched by Thames Valley Police, following repeated incidents of antisocial behaviour which are having a detrimental impact on the local community and users of the meadows.

Reading West and Mid Berkshire MP Olivia Bailey said: “Last August I met with local residents and parish councillors in Pangbourne, along with the staff and trustees of the Adventure Dolphin Centre who were concerned about repeated incidents of antisocial behaviour on Pangbourne Meadows.

“Having pushed for action to tackle these concerns, I am really pleased that today the public consultation for a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) for Pangbourne Meadows has gone live.

“I would like to thank the hard work of all those involved, including Thames Valley Police, Pangbourne Parish Council, and West Berkshire Council.

“I would urge local residents to take part in the consultation, so that we can get measures in place so that everyone will be able to enjoy the meadows this spring and summer.”
